Why I started my bucket list

We all have dreams and goals that we would like to achieve during our lifetimes, this is why I started my bucket list.  Sometimes those goals are easy, other times they are immensely hard.  I wanted to have a place to put all my bucket list ideas. A place where I could keep track of those big ones that I would like to achieve with my life, but also for those little easy to tick off ones. I have so many ideas of what I would like to do that it is too much for my mind to hold all at once. A blog seemed like a nice way to get all of the bucket ideas out of my head.  It is also nice that I can share with others how I work on achieving those items on my bucket list.  Some of them do require quite a bit of research to complete, this site should speed up the process for others wanting to complete the same.

Family

Sadly, my dad passed away when he was still quite young. He didn’t get to do all the things that he dreamed of doing while he was alive. Some of those he would have loved to have done still stick in my mind. Seeing the museums of Florence or visiting the penguins of Antarctica.  I want to complete those items that my dad dreamed of doing. Losing my dad has also shown to me how precious life can be. It seems better if you do as much as possible with your life as soon as it becomes possible else there is a risk of not experiencing something.

Catogries

As my bucket grew larger and larger with many items on it. I decided I needed to categorize them, just to make the list is a little easier to sort and manage. Some categories such as travel are still too large to easily use so I have had to add subcategories to those ones.  The main categories for me at Travel, Adventure, Education, Health.

Memories

This blog will serve as a nice way to remember bucket list items that I have managed to tick of my list as completed. Our memories are not perfect, even the most amazing of memories fade after time.  Where with this blog those memories will be here forever and I can look back from time to time and reminisce of what I have managed to achieve.

Life is one of those things where it is very easy to just coast along. I wanted to have a place where I can track what I am doing, what bucket list items I am working on, something to push me. To see what ones I have already manged to complete. It is a very nice feeling when you complete something that you have been dreaming of doing for years.

This blog is also my way of giving back to the world. Sharing with others some of the unique and unusual things you can see and do in this world. I hope that you enjoy what you find here.
